Hard to believe we are now in September and
the ease of the summer will soon be fading to memory
same as it ever was

Hey friends and fans. Tonight is the night that the seciond season of Sci-Fi Science debuts! And I'm in it! That's the show where Dr. Michio Kaku figures out how to make real many science fiction concepts in front of an audience of costumed sci-fi fans (including me). In the show, the fans(including me) are interviewed and invited to ask questions, and on some occasions, I even got to sing a song or two!
So check out The Science Channel tonight. They are showing two episodes back-to-back at 10:00 and 10:30!
Sadly, I don't have cable, so I won't be able to see it, so can someone tape it or TiVo it or whatever and send me a copy?
Next, my birthday is coming up on Monday, Sept 6. That's right, Labor day. I have two things in mind to do to celebrate. One is to have a barbecue/picnic in a park near me, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, perhaps in McCarren Park. The other is to do my near-traditional Open Mike Gig Crawl, where I hit two or three open mikes over the course of a day, probably either Saturday or Sunday, and invite you all to meet me anywhere along the journey you choose.
So tell me, friends, which would you rather be a part of?
Finally, the Faux-Real Theater Company's version of Oedipus Rex is opening on Saturday, Sept. 11. I am a part of this show, being the Messenger from Corinth (a very vital and exciting role) and a member of the chorus (arguably the most important part of this production). We will be running several weekends in several locations. Here are the details:

OK, folks, it's been an interesting little year. I got a lot of work done on my Captain Marvel Culture project, competed in a lot of grappling tournaments (and improving my game each time, despite injuries), screened "Redemption" several times (making improvements after each time), directed the short film "The Duel," appeared in the movie "Jedi Junkies, the TV show "Sci-Fi Science," and was involved with a bunch of other film and video projects, lectured at conventions, hosted a monthly mini-movie fest most of the year, and am currently prepping to perform with the Faux-Real theater Co. again.
.AND NOW IT'S MY BIIRTHDAY WEEKEND!
So here's the Birthday/Weekend plan. I invite all of you who wish to join me in celebrating the fact that I have lived one more year on this planet at any of these events and locations. They include music gigs, open mikes, multimedia events, and a picnic in McCarren Park:
On Friday night I am going to go see Dave Alvin and the Guilty Women at the City Winery on 155 Varrick St. (music starts at 87, but I'll be getting there after 10 because of Oedipus Rex Rehearsals) in Manhattan http://www.citywinery.com/events
On Saturday night I am going to attend the Forbidden City event in Sunset Park in Brooklyn. They say there is going to be a "Mongolian Wrestling Arena." I am hoping that it is participatory! You can find out more and get tickets at http://wandbnyc.com/stranded
Sunday is going to be a big day. Enough of you suggested something like a gathering involving food and drink, that we will start out with that. At 1:00 PM I will spread a picnic blanket in McCarren Park I will have a lovely summer salad prepared that all are welcome to share. Bring drinks or additional food if you like. I also advise bringing your own drinking vessels (cups, tankards, mugs, glasses, horns, whatever) so we don't have to throw away as much.
We will play a little music, toss around a Frisbee, play some Twister, and have a merry good time!
The specific location in the park will be near the entrance at Bedford Ave and N. 12th Street, just a few blocks from the Bedford Ave stop on the L train. If you can't find me, call 917-865-1214

Then at about 4:30 we will pack up and head to Pete's Candy Store, 709 Lorimer St., where the open mike begins at 5 PM. I should be able to get away with two or three songs. Incidentally, they have a "backyard barbecue" at the same time, and the room looks like a decadent Steampunk railway car!

After performing there, we will head to Common Ground on 206 Ave A (between 12th & 13th St), where the open mike begins at 8:00. I expect to get a 20-minute set there. We'll hang there until about 11.

Finally, at midnight, Otto's Shrunken Head at 438 E. 14th St will be the location for Frank Wood's "SOFA KING" Wilde Jam, at which he has been gracious enough to allow me to perform a few songs and jam with whoever is around that night.

Good afternoon. My name's Cody. My girlfriend Jessica and I were watching "The Rocker" with Christina Applegate and Rainn Wilson. In the last part of the movie, Christina Applegate has on a red white and blue dress that jessica fell in love with. I wanna get it for her. I was wondering how I could find out who makes it.
