LED ZEP,
Thank you for posting. As you may or may not know the PeterAustinNoto.com message board has not been up since 2005.
This is the new model which had it's lunch date on 11/21/2007. Currently we are still getting the board to run at full throttle.
Due to the Holiday weekend no upgrades are being made. Sometime next week I should be able to answer your question.
Feel free to post any other questions you have for me.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2007/nov/21/advertising.musicnews?gusrc=rss&feed=media Led Zeppelin ad lands on UK TV Led Zeppelin have launched a TV ad campaign to promote new double album Mothership in the runup to their reunion concert next month.
The campaign - which uses red-and-black animation modelled on the cover art by "street art" illustrator Shepard Fairey - trails the legendary rock band's reunion more than 25 years after they broke up.
The 60-second ad, created by Fold7TV - the TV arm of design agency Fold7 - features a medley of snippets from classic Led Zeppelin songs such as Kashmir, Black Dog, Whole Lotta Love and Immigrant Song.
It also features rotoscoped footage - where animators trace over live-action film - of the band performing.
The UK TV campaign, commissioned by Warner Music UK, will run on terrestrial and satellite TV as well as cinemas nationwide until Christmas.
"The task was to create an ad that reflects the enormity of the band and the massive impact that they have had on people's lives over the last 40 years," said the Fold7TV marketing director, Sam Balderstone.
Led Zeppelin also announced yesterday the launch of a website touted as "the ultimate online destination for all Led Zeppelin fans, old and new".
The website, www.ledzeppelin.com, aims to "keep the world up to date on Led Zeppelin's activities" as well as provide photos, merchadise, interactive flipbooks of rare tour programmes, and audio and video clips.
Led Zeppelin's one-off gig at London's O2 arena - which was postponed from November until December 10 after guitarist Jimmy Page broke his thumb - attracted huge interest, as more than 20 million people attempted to register for tickets online.
One million fans entered a draw, from which 20,000 were chosen to buy tickets.
Led Zeppelin have sold more than 300m albums worldwide since they formed in 1968.
They disbanded in 1980 following the death of drummer John Bonham, whose son Jason will in the concert next month alongside Page, singer Robert Plant and bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones.

LED ZEP No Led Zep tour ????????????????? |

http://www.star-ecentral.com/music/sleeve/notes.asp?file=archives/sleeve/2007/11/26/26NoLedZepto&date=11/26/2007 How could Ian have made this mistake? Or was the mistake made by the fan that shouted Led Zep? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No Led Zep tour
Led Zeppelin have dismissed claims that they will embark on a world tour in 2008, with support from The Cult. Cult frontman Ian Astbury said last week that his band will support the rock legends for a tour next year.
However, a spokesman for Led Zeppelin has denied the claim.
"No decision has been made beyond the band's performance at the O2 arena. Maybe Ian got mixed up and they're supporting Limp Bizkit!" the spokesman said.
led Zeppelin will appear at the O2 Arena on Dec 10 for their much-anticipated one-off reunion gig.

I had some guy in another topic say I would not be seeing Led Zeppelin if they toured. I assume he thinks Janson doesn't count or something. Well I disagree with him. If Led Zep toured with Janson I think it would be Led Zeppelin. I was wondering what you guys and gals thought about that. I believe The Song Remains The Same.
In the Led Zeppelin movie, The Song Remains The Same, Jason can be seen playing a scaled-down drum kit for a very proud father, John Bonham, the legendary drummer of Led Zeppelin. Jason was five years old.
The Song Remains The Same is what I say,
BD
P.S. I had a dream. Crazy dream - That Led Zeppelin would tour one more time. |

Nov 30, 5:46 PM ET by Dave DiMartino in Led Zeppelin's Return Flight On Friday, Nov. 16th, Y! Music was lucky enough to get an audience with Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones.
In excellent form, both very warm and friendly, the pair detailed the events leading up to the planned Dec. 10th reunion concert and offered their one-of-a-kind perspective on being lifelong members of this very phenomenal band.
We at Y! Music thank Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and of course their label for making this very exclusive interview possible. We hope you're one of the lucky people who actually get to witness December's performance.
Enjoy!

EVERYBODY MAY LIKE THIS http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/pleasereadtheletter/?e%20 The petition 12/2/2007
To Whom it may concern,
Please read the letter
Being a Led Zeppelin fan for essentially my entire life, you cannot even begin to imagine the sheer joy I felt upon hearing rumors of the upcoming reunion. The months of speculation and hope finally came to fruition yesterday and I along with millions of other fans tried to successfully apply for the ticket ballot.
It seems the chances of getting a lucky draw are slim to none.
As the reality of this set in, I was consoling myself with the notion, that if not being able to witness this truly historic modern music event in person, I would at least in some way be able to participate in this occasion by being able in some way shape or form watch it. Whether it be live via a pay per view or webcast or after the fact via DVD, I'd be able to experience the thrill of the lucky few ( and how many would really be true fans other than simply lucky ticket winners ? ) of seeing the legendary figures of John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and the late John Bonham's son Jason, on stage together.
Upon reading news that there are no plans to film this or document it in other ways, my elation quickly turned to frustration and eventually to outright depression. How could the promoters of this truly truly historic and also significant in other ways event, come to agreement on such terms ? Is this even true I still question as it is through various online forums that I've read this ? And if so, why ? And what can I do about it ?
I guess I can ask. I can beg. I can use Page/Plant's own words and say "Please Read the Letter" and hope that this, my online petition to the members of Led Zeppelin, Harvey Goldsmith, The Board of the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund, the Outside Organization, Warner Music Group and all else involved, will somehow change your minds.
The massive volume of ticket requests alone should bear witness to the fact of how many fans have been waiting for decades to see this band together again. It'd be truly a crushing blow to them all to know that what may very well be the last time ever, will only be witnessed by a randomly selected few. You do not owe it to the fans. By far that is your prerogative. But I do feel the need to at least try to ask that you please allow us to be part of that magic moment. Please do it for the fans. Do it for Ahmet.

Hi folks My brother and I have Zep as the soundtrack of our lives. I got two tickets!!! I live about 2 miles from the DOME, just south of Blackheath, and I am 54, my brother 57. Are we the oldest? Are we the nearest? (could probably walk there and back!). We both love Achilles, and first saw the boys at the Ally Pally in 1973 I believe, around Christmas. Will the set include an 'acoustic' moment? Maybe 'Gallows Pole', an early template for Stairway I reckon. Also....I hope all attending WHOOSH from the first moment, and Rock all night....and the boys will do encores if we all stay and demand it, two encores even (as at the Alley Palley and Earls Court last night).
Love to you all Philosophical |

I know this could be debated for years but I saw this on the votenumber1 site while casting my vote for Zep this was a post there...any thoughts? this is a bunch of nonsense!!!!!
‘Rating the Music’ read carefully: Queen have better songwriting skills. Queen became the first and currently the only band to have ever been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The band are also the only group in which every member has composed more than one chart-topping single. Queen was the rock band that gave birth to the most known rock anthems and rock epic songs ("We Will Rock You," "We Are the Champions," "Stone Cold Crazy," "Another One Bite the Dust", “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” etc..). From their first hit "Keep Yourself Alive" to their top "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the epic last songs "Innuendo" and "The Show Must Go On," Queen had continuously been teaching the musical world how rock music should be. How you can create something unique and technically perfect by mixing the best of the available influences. Led Zeppelin, on the other hand, used only a very hard and heavy rock sound that made it difficult to gain attention, and as a result only one song, their "Stairway to Heaven" is no! w widely known. Queen mixed up all those previous rock styles and created a bombastic, excessive at times, glam rock that is until now their trademark. Mercury’s voice and performances was something not ever found since then. I think the reason Queen always obtains large amounts of votes in polls such as these is that their music style was so diverse throughout their career (arena rock, funk, glam, hard rock, heavy metal, pop, progressive, psychedelic and gospel). A lot of people like their earlier heavy stuff, Queen, Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack, A Night At The Opera era.. A lot the late 1970s, and some the '80s stuff they did (although personally most of their output during that decade wasn't their best work up until A Kind Of Magic). It's a good spread of music style at appeals to a wide range of possible voters. Led Zeppelin have too many plagiarism accusations. It should be noted that copping a line or stock phrase is common in blues tradition, but taking entire songs results in Willie Dixon law suits. Read More about Led Zeppelin plagiarism accusations:

After reading all the quotes from the band, I think it is safe to say that Led Zeppelin will continue to perform together and hopefully record some new music. It is quite clear that the Magic of Zeppelin is back, and the rehearsals are going fantastic. Page, Plant, Jones and Jason Bonham all look great, and are ready to remind the world of who the Greatest Rock Band Is. |
